Frustrations mount across the country as people ask legitimate questions about the goals and priorities of all levels of government.
Citizens have watched government at the federal and state level become less responsive, less accountable, and less efficient. They too often appear to represent the interests of a few at the expense of the many without giving much thought to the future of our environment, our cities, and our communities.
The set of ideas, thoughts, plans, timelines, and models that follow are partly an answer to the frustrations many people are feeling. It is a conversation about the possibilities before us as we enter a new year.
Bethlehem 2017 is about the future of Bethlehem and how to create a vision and a model for a progressive 21st century city. People are tired of campaigns, it is time to see government work.
